Diverse capabilities to tackle plastic projects

FOR 23 years, Townsville-based family owned plastics company Gough Plastics has been one step ahead of its competitors. Under the direction of the three Gough brothers, the company has grown from a one-man operation on a 100 square metre site to a vibrant company of 30 employees operating out of a 6000 square metre industrial site in Bohle, Queensland. The company originally began as  rotational moulding business and quickly diversified into plastic fabrication, developing a reputation as an innovator in the market. It operates across a diverse range of markets including industry, agriculture and the environment, enabling the team at Gough Plastics to be exposed to the latest developments in design, process and technology.
As the business grew, it became apparent that plastic welding and fabrication was essential to the future development of the company. The ability to provide one-off and short runs of specially designed equipment to meet customer requirements has enhanced the capabilities of Gough Plastics. The team has completed everything from a ‘design and construct’ package for a major supplier of chemical dosing equipment, to projects for the water treatment and gas industries, including bunding equipment, storage tanks and steel-support structures for raised tanks.
Gough Plastics is working on several projects of interest, including conical-based tanks mounted in support frames with built-in agitation points for high specific gravity materials, and a series of truck water tankers.
The company has the capabilities, technology and equipment at its disposal to tackle most projects in plastic, and utilises diverse processes to achieve the most cost-effective method of producing goods. It constantly reinvests in its people, equipment, processes and technology to ensure that it can meet customer needs and stay profitable in a highly competitive marketplace.
Gough Plastics is looking forward to the future and working with customers to provide the service and quality they require.
