Making thermal imaging even more accessible

WITH the launch of its new FLIR T400-Series thermal imaging camera, global infrared technology leader FLIR Systems is aiming to make thermal imaging even more accessible and attractive for both advanced users and beginners.
The company stated that experienced users of thermal imaging cameras, such as utility service providers and mechanical, electrical and professional building inspectors, were demanding more from their cameras.
“They want ergonomic systems that can be used for several hours per day without tiring; cameras that offer high image quality and are equipped with all of the necessary features that can save
users time when they are doing everyday jobs,” FLIR stated.
“The user friendly FLIR T400-Series is designed for users who are looking to combine excellent ergonomics and performance with a high image quality of 320 by 240 pixels, all at an affordable
price.”
With the building inspection sector specifically in mind, a compass has been integrated into the FLIR T440bx model to enable inspectors to see which direction they are looking, and to which direction a wall is oriented – information that can be important when doing building inspections.
The FLIR T400-Series incorporates a tiltable optical unit that makes it possible to measure and take images of objects at all angles while in a comfortable working position.
